Great Cash Giveaway Event

Each year St. Martin of Tours Academy hosts a fundraising event. The purpose of this annual event is to raise money to help with operational expenses which enhance the educational experience for the 200 students who attend our school. Although parents pay annual tuition for their children to attend, there are still many needs at the Academy that extend beyond the financial reach of what the annual tuition covers.

We are very proud of our school which has been offering students an excellent academic foundation, with an emphasis on moral development and life skills, for 70 years.

At St. Martin of Tours Academy, our students understand the need for peace and justice, and as responsible Catholics, are challenged to answer the call to service and become engaged citizens of the world. _____________________________________________________________________________

Please join our amazing St. Martin community for an hour of celebrating 100 years of the parish and 70 years of the academy.

Join our amazing St. Martin community in a night of celebrating 100 years of the Parish and 70 years of the Academy.  Cheers to 100 Years! will be a virtual celebration spread over the week of November 1st culminating with the Grand Finale; a LIVE streamed event beginning at 6:30 p.m on November 6th. During the week, you’ll be able to bid online on trips, class art projects, teacher experiences and more!  During the live event, you’ll see video clips of students and staff and we will pull the winning tickets for $5,000 and $1,000 winners and more fun surprises!  Please forward the below link to friends and family that would like to participate.

On January 28, 2021, SMA’s GCGA event was celebrated during Catholic Schools Week during a virtual Open House.  Changes were made to allow more people chances to win. In addition to a $5,000 drawing, there was five drawings for an opportunity to win $1,000. Winners need not be present to win.

Welcome to Emerald City” Great Cash Giveaway 2019
We had 170 people attend the event on Saturday, November 2, 2019. While bidding on over 40 live and silent auction items, attendees enjoyed drinks, music and dinner. The winner of the $10,000 cash giveaway was Vien Mai, grandfather to one of our first graders. The $1,000 winner was Gia Ramos – the ticket was sold by a fifth grade family and the $500 winner was Leyla Chavez!

This circus themed event held on Saturday, November 3rd at the St. Martin of Tours Parish Hall included entertainment by a magician, stilt walker and a clown.  Many of the 130 attendees dressed up circus-style! While bidding on over 70 live and silent auction items, guests enjoyed drinks, music and dinner. The winner of the $10,000 cash giveaway was Richard Williams, a cousin to an Academy fifth grader. The $1,000 winner was the Toma Family. The $500 winner was Gretchen Weaver, a relative of a sixth grade family at the Academy.

“A Night Under the Big Top” made a profit of $67,180!  Proceeds from the event support St. Martin of Tours Academy’s Catholic education, operational expenses, and tuition assistance for students.



Over 120 people attended the event Saturday, November 4 at the Hilton Mission Valley. While bidding on over 60 live and silent auction items, attendees enjoyed drinks, music and a dinner. The winner of the $10,000 cash giveaway was Judy and Len Vanderbosch, grandparents to Tabitha and Isaac (Class of 2012).

Proceeds contribute to the quality of education we have come to know at St. Martin of Tours Academy. With a variety of ways to make a donation, this fundraiser joins our business, school, and parish communities together.

Student art work was auctioned during the “Live Auction” portion of the evening.

    There were over 60 silent auction items to bid on.

The beautiful “Candy Buffet” was created by the Suzuki Family!
