Educational TV During School Closures:
KPBS has partnered with the San Diego Office of Education (SDCOE) and San Diego Unified School District during school closures to provide educational programming for grades TK-12. At-Home Learning: Where Children Matter
For the lower grades (K-5) My Catholic Kids offers a virtual Mass every Sunday and religion lessons regarding the Gospel of the week.
Broadcast Resources 
Beginning Monday, March 16, KPBS 2 will broadcast 12 hours of programming selected to meet the TK-12 California educational standards. The programming will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in viewing blocks by grade level:
  • 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. – Grades TK-3
  • 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Grades 4-8
  • 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Grades 9-12
Scholastic has created a “Learn at Home” website. This free resource provides your children with 20 days of exciting articles and stories, videos, and fun learning challenges. Children can complete them anytime, in any order. They can work on their own or together with you and your family.

Starting March 23, Stimola Literary Studio, representing kid lit and YA authors and illustrators, will host livestreamed readalouds, craft activities, and drawing demonstrations between 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. EST with Matt Tavares, Ellen Hagan, Shannon Stocker, and many others.
