PNL – January 20, 2017

Dear Parents,

On Sunday, January 29 at 9am Mass, we begin National Catholic Schools Week, the annual celebration of Catholic education. The theme is “Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” It succinctly expresses three priorities that make Catholic schools stand out from other educational institutions.

At St. Martin of Tours Academy, faith, academics and service continue to remain our top priorities. Our students learn about faith daily, not just religious facts, but how to develop a relationship with God and live like Jesus. They benefit from high quality teachers who set high academic standards, which help each student reach his/her greatest potential. Our students practice service, giving of their time, talents and effort to help others, as an expression of both faith and good citizenship. This focus on faith, academics and service prepares our students for complete, meaningful lives in their families, communities and the Catholic Church.

We are also fortunate at St. Martin’s to have a system of education that epitomizes our Catholic faith and enhances every child’s Catholic school experience. Workshop Way® is a system of human growth for education. The major goal is to create a sense of dignity, intelligence, confidence and the power of management in all students. It is a way to teach, a way to learn and a way to live. It is an advantage that we are blessed with.  With this said, I am encouraging all parents and students to attend our Workshop Way® Open House next Thursday.  You will have the opportunity to witness The Workshop Way® Five Step Whole Class Lesson Plan and participate in the Schedule of Tasks with your child.  The evening promises to be enlightening and fun!  Baby sitting will be available for younger siblings.  Please see the enclosed flyer for detailed information.
We hope for 100% participation!  See you next week.

In closing, we thank you, parents, for your endorsement and support of a Catholic school education. In choosing
St. Martin of Tours Academy and the Workshop Way® system of education, you are giving a gift of immeasurable value to your child(ren) that will benefit them throughout their lives.
