Parent Newsletter • March 1, 2018

Dear Parents,

March is the time of year for us to think about the next school year. We have been working on our school budget – teacher salaries, operational cost projections, facility improvements, tuition and registration. Registration packets for 2018-2019 will be enclosed in your parent envelope on March 15, 2018. It is my hope that every family will be returning, except of course, those families and students who are moving on to a new experience in high school. (We will miss those families and wish them well.)

I believe St. Martin of Tours Academy is an excellent school with well-qualified teachers. Your child is receiving a Catholic school education that is academically challenging and value based. You have chosen our school for these reasons. You have also chosen our school for the Pilon® Workshop Way® System of Education which integrates spiritual and human development, life skills, and intellectual growth. It is no wonder our graduates are well prepared for high school and beyond!

Like last year, we will waive the registration fee for the Academy or Preschool if you refer a family to our school. The family will need to enroll before school begins and complete the first quarter of the school year.

If for some reason there is a hesitation about re-enrollment, I encourage you to discuss it with me before a final decision is made. Sometimes there are other reasons for not returning. There may be a need for more accurate and complete information regarding a particular situation, whether it concerns our system of education, a classroom, or individual progress. We can do the best job for your child(ren) if we are in good communication with each other. I welcome your questions, comments, suggestions and look forward to your return in the Fall.

Following my retirement announcement two weeks ago, a community panel met last Friday to confirm Diana Hartley’s new position as principal beginning at the end of this school year. During the next few months, we will be working together for a smooth transition. I look forward to coming back in the Fall as a Workshop Way® Consultant.
